An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Manager to work in a large & busy nursery which is part of a well established chain. The nursery has been awarded an overall 'Good' status with other areas reaching 'outstanding' by Ofsted. As part of the management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the nursery in the Nursery Manager’s absence. In addition you will be accountable for a variety of management tasks whilst still being primarily room based.• You should have three year’s qualified experience, at least one of which should be as part of a management team• You should first and foremost be a role model practitioner, with the ability to demonstrate working knowledge of Ofsted and the EYFS• You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to support and lead others• You should have the capability to assist the Nursery Manager in the collection of debt and with other aspects of financial management and paperwork. • Assist the Nursery Manager with all aspects of team management, including disciplinary investigations and hearings, absence management and ensuring nursery team cohesion with the Nursery Manager, including the organisation of regular staff meetings and appropriate training sessions. • The Deputy Manager should co-ordinate mandatory training and be responsible for liaison with Head Office, to ensure the mandatory training records are up-to-date and on target.• The position is offered as full-time, working 40 hours per week In addition to a very competitive salary; other benefits include free parking, great training opportunities and much more!To apply or for more information on this exciting role, please contact Sandra Wright today on sandra.wright@kangacrew.com!
