Kangacrew are seeking an Team Leader, 3rd In charge to join a hugely successful chain of nurseries.
An established day nursery of the highest quality with 60+ places available for children aged six weeks to five years. The nursery has a warm, caring and friendly atmosphere, with a team of qualified and experienced staff
Reporting to the Nursery Manager the successful candidate will be qualified to Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare and Education and will work closely with Nursery Manager and Deputy to ensure the effective daily management of the nurseries, whist being room based. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your own team. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
· You should have at least two years qualified experience of which some experience should include supervisory or room leader duties.
· You should be a role model practitioner with the ability to demonstrate working knowledge of Ofsted Standards and EYFS.
· You should be able to communicate effectively on best practice of care and education to both staff and parents and have good customer care skills.
· Be able to assume management responsibility for the nursery when the Deputy Manager steps up or is absent.
· You should be willing to be involved in a wide variety of tasks across the nursery, for example: recruitment, promoting inclusive practice, mentoring staff, teambuilding, assisting to deal with parent issues, conducting show rounds and much more.
