Contact Worker

Kangacrew are currently seeking experienced Supervised ContactWorkers/Sessional Workers to work with vulnerable children and young people in the care system within the Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire area.

You will need to be a car driver with access to your own vehicle with the relevant insurance for using your car for business. It is essential that you have experience of working with vulnerable children and their families.

You may be required to transport children and young people to and from their foster carers. You will ne there to supervise the contact sessions, and provide support to the children, young people and their families.

You should have some exposure of attending meetings and reviews with regards to the sessions you have supervised and will also have experiences in  supporting the Social Workers in their statutory functions. We are looking for candidates who are familiar with writing reports in relation to the supervised contact sessions, which may then later be used in court.

Also a qualification in working with children is desirable - your previous experience will be more valuable.

As a Supervised Contact Worker/Sessional Worker it is imperative that you remain impartial and confident when supervising any contact sessions, even those of an extremely complex nature. 

Hours will be varied and may include weekend work.
